That recovery was impressive; the breach still belongs in any honest review. For spot buyers there are safer defaults at the same price.

The hack, and the recovery
In February 2025 attackers drained roughly $1.5B from a Bybit cold-wallet transfer — the largest crypto theft on record. Bybit covered client balances from reserves and partner loans, kept withdrawals open, and published a full post-mortem. Full marks for the response; the architecture that allowed it is why we score security conservatively.
What it does well
Spot fees match Binance, execution is fast, and the app is genuinely good. If you're an active trader in a supported region, the product competes at the top tier.
